The cake bases are made from the highest quality ingredients to ensure you get the best cake for your money. Wedding cake tiers can either be all one type of cake or a mixture of either fruit cake, sponge cake (chocolate or vanilla) or carrot cake.

Fruit Cake
Our rich, moist fruit cake is made with the highest quality ingredients to ensure your cake will taste as good as it looks. The fruit is soaked in pure fruit puree and sherry for several days, and then baked in a special way which seals in the moisture.

Vanilla and Chocolate Sponge
Both our vanilla and chocolate sponges are rich, soft, moist cakes. The vanilla sponge can be filled with jam and butercream or lemon buttercream to give it a bit of a twist. The chocolate sponge is made with 5% real Belgian chocolate and is filled with soft, chocolate buttercream.

Death By Chocolate Cake
Our Death By Chocolate cake is moister, darker, and even more chocolatey than our normal chocolate sponge. Filled with soft chocolate buttercream or chocolate fudge icing it is ideal for luxury chocolate wedding and celebration cakes.

Carrot Cake
Our carrot cake is a beautifully moist sponge packed with carrots, raisins and walnuts. It is filled with soft, vanilla buttercream and provides an extra choice for those looking for a variety of different flavoured tiers in their cake.


The tables below give you a rough idea of the number of portions you will get from a standard cake. Fruit cake is not served in the same sizes as sponge cake because it's much richer.
