Do you have a shop?
No, I work from home. I offer pre-arranged appointments out of working hours and weekends and can also come and visit you in your own home if you prefer.

How much notice do you need?
Depending on the time of year, I can usually fit cakes in at short notice if necessary. I have taken wedding cake orders only two weeks before the wedding before now! However, certain times of year are busy so it's best to book well in advance if you can.
For cakes for birthdays, christenings etc, two weeks notice is usually plenty depending on the design. However, I do not work full time making cakes so if you can give plenty of notice it will make sure you get the cake you want.

How far in advance can I book my wedding cake?
I take bookings up to 12 months in advance.

Do I have to order a design from your website?
No, not at all. The designs on the website are just to give you an idea of the range of cakes and styles we can offer. However, if you have your own ideas or have seen a design you like we are happy to quote for whatever design you choose.

Can you deliver?
Yes, up to a maximum of 50 miles from Barnsley, please call for a delivery quote. Wedding cake prices include delivery within a 10 mile radius and setup at your reception venue.

What are the payment terms?
Wedding cakes - A 50% deposit is taken at the time of booking to save the date and confirm the booking. The balance is then due 2 weeks before the wedding. Deposits are non-refundable.
Other cakes - Full payment is due on delivery or collection of your cake.

Do you do personalised Bride & Groom cake toppers?
Yes, they start at £30 per couple. However, please note that the figures can't be made to look exactly like the bride and groom, however, we will do our best and will match hair colour and outfits to the best of our ability.

Can I mix the flavours of the tiers?
Yes, you can chose between vanilla sponge, chocolate sponge, carrot cake or fruit cake.

What sizes are the tiers?
A 3 tier cake is usually 6", 8" and 10". If you prefer 4 tiers, a 12" tier is added to the bottom.

How many portions does each size give?

Do I have to have fruit cake on the bottom tier of a stacked cake because of it's weight?
No, all our stacked cakes are supported with dowels on each tier so you can have fruit cake on whichever tier you prefer.
